Perfect Partnership: Client 289
We love to help the helpers. You may recall that a few weeks ago we gifted a vehicle to Chyna, a young woman who aged out of foster care, but found housing and support from a ministry in Brenham called Our Daughters’ House. With her at the donation was Samone, the Program Manager for ODH. Samone ensures all of the women living at ODH are cared for and supported. Yet like Chyna, Samone did not own a vehicle. This made it difficult for her to get to her own appointments around town, much less provide transportation to ODH clients. The whole ministry suffered as a result of this lack of transportation.
By God’s grace, OnRamp had a perfect vehicle for Samone, a reliable Honda that can get her and those women she supports wherever they need to go. We are so grateful that this one vehicle will support the healing and growth of many young women in our community!
When it came time to gift her the vehicle, we met at ODH and were surprised to see two of our other Brenham clients, Tasha and Linda, who heard the donation was happening and couldn’t wait to show up and love on the newest member of the OnRamp family! We are so privileged to get to serve these women and organizations like Our Daughters’ House!

Update on Priscilla
Last week, we told you about former client Priscilla who used her OnRamp Honda Civic to get a MUCH better paying job in heavy construction. But there was one major problem... the job site requires her to drive over very rough, unpaved and damaged roads. That tore the under-plates off the Civic and, we learned last week, bent a suspension arm. This car would not last on these roads.
But God was prepared!! A month ago, a generous family in Houston donated an incredible 2018 AWD Honda Ridgeline pickup to OnRamp. We've never had a truck this nice donated to us. We wondered what God had in mind. Now we knew! He was looking out for Priscilla and her family. We gifted it to her last week so she could get back to work without missing a beat. She now has exactly the vehicle God knew she would need for this great new career. And we'll get the Civic all fixed up and then donate it to the next client in line who doesn't have to traverse rough roads! Win-win.
Gathering the Board
At our annual OnRamp board retreat, we gathered not only the local OnRamp Brazos team but also leaders from OnRampDFW, OnRamp Coastal Bend, and our newest pilot, OnRamp San Antonio. We are so grateful to see God knit our hearts together and grow our vision for taking OnRamp throughout Texas and, Lord-willing, coast-to-coast. Please join us in praying hard that God would lead us and provide all the volunteers and funds that His mission will require!

Funds Needed
OnRamp Brazos has been moving at break-neck pace. We just refilled our inventory with vehicles we will gift in the coming weeks, but now need to refill our drained bank account. If you can help, please visit our GIVE page!
