Jeffier: our second San Antonio client

This young woman has overcome SO much. She aged out of the foster care system with little support and few resources. She was also diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that saps her strength and requires substantial treatment (but is now in remission, thank God!) And yet, this sister-in-Christ is so full of joy! She loves children, K-pop, and signing and dancing. She is extremely grateful for everything God’s given her in life. She has worked hard at the WashTub for over three years, becoming one of their number one cashiers. Different locations actually fight to get her on their team, she is so beloved! Her positivity is contagious.
Fortunately, God brought her a local family that took her in and gave her a home. This amazing family has stood by her side for years, helping her grow in knowledge, skills, and resilience. When her former vehicle was no longer drivable, they nominated her to OnRamp and our San Antonio team accepted her into the program and gave her action steps to complete before donation, which she did successfully. And so, with great joy, they gifted her a reliable Camry that should keep her mobile and employed for many years to come.
Jan Watson: our SATX Client Care Director
Jan moved to San Antonio in 2017 after graduating from Texas A&M. Jan and her husband, Kyle, lived in a predominantly Spanish-speaking, under-resourced but tight-knit neighborhood in the city for several years. The neighborhood, along with Jan's work at H-E-B, instilled a deep respect for families' resilience and revealed some of the city's practical needs that are often overlooked. Jan desires to show the love of Jesus by coming alongside people in vulnerable situations and helping them overcome barriers to moving forward. Jan and Kyle are proud parents to a little boy, giving them another taste of many clients' day to day lives.
