The OnRamp Program

OnRamp is a 501c3 faith-based non-profit founded in January 2017 for the purpose of helping individuals and families in the Brazos Valley who are in urgent need of reliable transportation. In 2021, our Brazos Valley OnRamp helped launch an affiliate, OnRampDFW, serving the Dallas/Ft Worth area, and we are now in the process of launching OnRamp Coastal Bend to serve the counties around Victoria, TX. We are Platinum certified with Candid.

OnRamp partners with charities, churches, schools, and healthcare providers, whom we call “Advocates,” who nominate applicants to our program. All applicants are interviewed and, if accepted, given action steps to complete such as meeting with a budget counselor, opening a bank account, building their resume, procuring auto insurance, or any number of beneficial steps. Once action steps are completed, clients receive a reliable vehicle PLUS a full year of coaching, prayer support, and assistance with maintenance. OnRamp is about so much more than just giving away cars! We provide the ongoing support and love clients need to reach their goals and thrive.

Occasionally, OnRamp assists clients in other ways, including repairing already-reliable vehicles or gifting Uber or gas cards. Contact clientcare@onramptx.org to nominate someone for this specialized assistance.
