We’re thrilled to celebrate Shelby, our 198th client, who just completed her full year of care with us. As a reminder, OnRamp gifts a full year of maintenance, resourcing, and encouragement to all clients along with their vehicle. The progress that Shelby made during this year of care floored us!
When Shelby first came to OnRamp, she set three big goals (all clients set personal goals during the application process):
Build a stronger bond with her daughter
Grow her real estate career
Reconnect with family, church, and her community
Praise God, she met all three goals! She told us:
“I am beyond blessed to have the team at OnRamp! I have learned to save more than ever! It has taken some maturity and understanding on my part to control how my money is spent. I have kept up with ALL of my bills and have been more frugal with purchases.”
Shelby also attended all her doctor’s appointments , prioritized her health , purchased health insurance, and got back on medications she’s needed for 3 years. We can’t emphasize enough that what we do is more than donating a vehicle. Shelby was able to gain stability in her life, finances, and health thanks to the generosity of OnRamp donors like you!
Big News: OnRamp San Antonio is Coming!
If you live in or near San Antonio and love OnRamp’s ministry, we’d love to have you attend our upcoming OnRamp San Antonio Informational Meeting the evening of August 23rd at University Methodist on De Zavala. Blake Jennings, our founder, will be in town to share the mission and vision of OnRamp and discuss exactly what it would take to launch OnRamp in San Antonio. This is a no-commitment meeting - attending doesn’t commit you to do anything else. It’s just exploratory. We believe God is calling us to launch an OnRamp to serve Bexar County, and want your input on that. If you decide you’re interested in helping, we’ll have opportunities to sign up for our volunteer launch team and/or to commit to help fund the endeavor. But there will be no pressure! Feel free to invite anyone else to attend. If you’re interested, please email Blake at blakej@onramptx.org to RSVP and also let him know if you prefer 3pm, 5pm, or 7pm that day for this meeting. We’ll go with the most popular option.
