OnRamp wouldn’t be near our 100th client without the dedicated work of our Operations Director, Stephanie Mason. But as we’ve grown, we’ve realized that we need more help to manage and administer our expanding teams of volunteers, advocates, and clients. So last week, we hired Cassidy Somervill as our Care Director. She will partner with Stephanie so that together they can administer our entire ministry, with Stephanie focused on finances, HR, and communications and Cassidy focused on client care and marketing. We’re grateful for the additional horsepower Cassidy brings to our team! Here’s her bio:
I am so excited to be a part of the team here at OnRamp! As the Care Director, I will be working closely with our volunteers, prayer members, and clients.
Growing up, I had a very supportive family, and my mom was really the one who introduced me to the Lord. I saw her relationship with God, and knew I both needed and wanted the Lord in my life to be my guide. As I’ve grown in my relationship with God, I have realized one of my spiritual gifts is serving - and I love it! I truly feel like this is what God has called me to do. So when I had the opportunity to work with OnRamp, I jumped!
Another thing I have discovered in myself throughout my spiritual journey is the gift of mercy. Growing up, I saw people I love fall on hard times. Whether it was family hardships, addiction, or financial issues, God gave me the tools to help those who were close to me when they were struggling. I always wanted to be someone they could call in a time of need - even if I didn’t have the answer. He showed me how to be gracious, patient, and how to love them unconditionally. Here at OnRamp, I hope to show our wonderful clients the grace and guidance that God has shown me.
I also hope to become more involved in the community and meet more people here in the Brazos Valley. I have been attending Brazos Fellowship for almost three years now, and love volunteering in their children’s ministry. I also am a member of a small group at Brazos Fellowship where I get to grow in my faith with other amazing women!
My husband and I moved out to this area in 2017 so he could complete his undergraduate and graduate degrees here at Texas A&M - Go Aggies!
We have been blessed with our daughter, Kacey, who will be three in June, and we are expecting another girl in August 2022!
I can’t wait to see where my position at OnRamp takes me, and look forward to connecting with all of you!
