2021 Year-In-Review

By every measure, 2021 was OnRamp’s biggest year ever. Here are the final tallies (unless we get really lucky and squeeze one more in before year’s end).

Each of these donated vehicles provides the gift of freedom to the new owner and his or her family. One 2021 client, Juan, now has the freedom to get to an out-of-town transplant hospital so he can find freedom from dialysis. Another, Melissa, has freedom from hours walking to work every day. Another, Sarah, has the freedom of being able to get her young child to life-saving medical specialists in Houston.

To better support these wonderful clients, we have been investing significant efforts in 2021 to grow our services. We now partner with local ministries to provide both budget counseling and trauma counseling to any of our clients who wish to participate. We’ve also built a prayer team to provide ongoing spiritual encouragement to all former clients. We hope to add multiple additional services through partnerships this coming year.

Last but not least, we have finally expanded outside the Brazos Valley! OnRampDFW commenced just two months ago and has already received 501c3 status and chosen their first two clients, both refugees. We can’t wait to see what God will do through this new chapter of OnRamp.

All of this ministry takes substantial resources. On average, we spend $10,000 per client to purchase a reliable vehicle, do all preparatory repairs, and then fully maintain the vehicle for the first twelve months to help our clients continue their forward progress. We believe this resource-intensive, deep investment into each client family yields the greatest long-term impact. We’d love your help to serve more worthy clients in 2022. God bless and happy New Year from the whole OnRamp Team!
